National President Of Casson Declares Concerning The 2006 Annual National Conference

Power State of Nigeria is hosting all Counsellors this year after several attempts to get the hosting rights. This will be the first time that Niger State is hosting our great association.

We, the Secretary General, National Treasurer, PRO AND I PAID OUR TRADITIONAL VISIT TO THE HOSTING STATE TO ASSESS THE STATE OF PREPAREDNESS. Our reception by the First lady of Niger State Her Excellency, the Wife of the  Executive Governor of Niger State and Sagi Raba Nupe, Hajiya Zaynab A. Kure (Initiator/ Motivator, project “YES”), the  Hon. Commissioner, Niger State Mr. Obed yakoi Kongo, Secretary to the Niger State Government, Comrade Mohammed Adams Erena, the Principal and staff of the college of Advanced Islamic Studies (CAIS) and the State LOC is enough evidence that members’ experience at this year’s conference will be a memorable one.

During the visit, the State Chapter is a very powerful member, the Hon.  , Commissioner for Education Niger State. We pray that the Chapter is able to maintain their relationship with  him and keep him. The Commissioner who felt that he is not been associating with counsellors because he has not aware of the association’s existence, ordered that Guidance and Counselling unit be re-established in the ministry.

By all pre-conference assessment, this year’s conference should not be missed by any category of counsellor whether devoted or committed or otherwise. A Power State, a state of former Heads of State and where one of the former Head of State is a producer of fresh food and yogurt. Indeed, a conference where the First Lady of the State is our Chief Host and the Commissioner of Education is a Counsellor. My dear colleagues we (the President, Secretary General National Treasurer, PRO) are constantly in touch with the State LOC to ensure that what we experienced during our visit is experienced by all participants come August. We hope that this momentum would be sustained.

I suspect highly that ‘Power State CASSON 2006’ is going to be a case of  first time just as it was the first time the National Executive Officers has been warmly be received by any First Lady from the preparation visit. She identified with counsellors in her PET project, Youth empowerment scheme” YES”. Come and see things for yourself. Do not be told. Be a witness.
